We are flowers

but grow in different shapes

I made films about people's different phases/facets of growth.

We are bold.

We are passionate.

We are vulnerable.

We are confused.

We questioned.

We struggled.

We survived.

Questions in our 20s

A therapist tied all my doubts in my early 20s together through art therapy---the way that helps her heal herself and find out the purpose of life.

She

"I like to watch,

as if I was experiencing others' life.

Park is my favorite place;

Camera serves my eyes.

I act like I’m searching for something,

but I don’t know what I was searching for.

If you meet a person who lives the life you want,

and that person is...yourself.

3 Steps Away

"When someone truly leaves, you cannot hear a sound of it. At best, you might feel a whisper, undulating down."

There are 3 steps to say goodbye...

The distance between ambition/vision and reality.

Love at Distance

The best things in life are messy.

Escape

Describe 2020 in one word: stuck.

During my quarantine, I made this film all by myself to show the inner struggles everyone is facing: fear, anxiety, and boredom.

I discovered the best way of returning to normal life: to do simple and satisfying little things. Being trapped in one place actually gave me a chance to examine myself and embrace life again. I hope my audience would have hopes in difficult times, even if the future may not return to what it was before, and that we can still find peace and joy through adaptations and changes.

A Dream within a Dream

A sound picture inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem---A Dream Within a dream.

People are often confused by the fact that the important things in life often slip away and they cannot grasp sand of it.

I imagine if people are actually all get injected into anesthetics. What they face might be a dream but they may not realize it because the pain and happiness they are having are so real..

If the line between reality and dream becomes vague, the pain we are experiencing might be alleviated in this blue world.

A Woman in the Sun

A sound picture inspired by Edward Hopper's painting A Woman in the Sun in 1961. I depicted a woman waking up in the morning from her dream, but actually...still dreaming.
